M. F. Luder rambling
There's just too much to say to be able to fit it all in a little under a page. Either that or bore you all to tears. *g*
The first thing I have to say, truthfully, is that I love the boys. I adore them. I might have loved many fandoms before (two, actually), but I've never loved another couple like I love these boys.
Mulder and Scully was my first couple. Yes, het, I know. Dont' make me blush any harder. *g* I never actually wrote anything in that fandom, The X-Files, but I read until my eyes bled. Gossamer was my second home, the scripts my religion. I spend more neurons memorizing the transcripts from the episodes than my high school classes.
Kevin and Nick (from Backstreet Boys) was my second couple. It was something akin to puppy love. They were cute and nice and my writing, because it was my first time, was very high school. I made all the mistakes imaginable, and now when I go over those first stories, I tell myself it's impossible I was ever that stupid.
Ryan and Seth, those two, for me, are love. I have written the most amazing stories about them. I've gone into subjects and themes that, before now, I never would have been able to touch with grace, respect and knowledge. I'm proud of my work in this fandom. I hold my head high with these stories under my belt. I'm a better writer because these boys, and I'm proud to say so.
There are many things that show the love of these two. Since the very beginning, since the very Pilot, everything they've done has been because of some form of caring for one another.
Seth could have very well not looked up and say something as simple as "Hey." Ryan could have no answered "Hey." Seth could have looked down or ignored Ryan instead of asking "Do you want to play?". That interaction did it for me.
Hey.
Hey.
Do you want to play? That simple interaction owned me. Still does. Three years later, those seven words own me.
After that, writing them, loving them, writing them in love, was easy. Everything has been very easy since then.
And even though I'm writing this within a week of first opening my webpage, that doesn't mean I'm new to the fandom. Three years with it, I proudly say. Three years. Since Ryan first walked down the street and let his brother talk him into stealing a car. Three years since I first heard "California" by Phantom Planet.
Three years writing these two boys in love.
Sullen was born out me loving the idea of a challenge and 50'000 words written in one month and then it morphed into something that hasn't yet found an ending out me not knowing how to write short to save my life.
Why, you might wonder. Well, though I had the idea about three days after the season (season one) finale aired, I didn't dare write it. I knew it was gonna be a Saga. I knew it the way I know that, the day I finally do finish it, I'll cry. It'll kill me, and I'll finish it. *nods*
However, when a friend of mine (I'm pretty sure it was Mare, so this is all her fault) told me about the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), I gave in and signed up. That was my ending.
A very quick explanation is that in NaNo (for short) is a challenge. The best out there. In November of each year, you have to write a novel of AT LEAST 50,000 words. Easy, you say? Hmm. Yeah. But by the end of the month, sometime around November 25th, you'll be screaming your head off with frustration because your characters are not playing nice and you're (insert number here) words behind and you're dying and your eyes hurt, your fingers fucking hurt and you just want this month to be over.
Yet, all in all, AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE.
This, is the result. Two years of work. So far, roughly 100,000 words. And yet, I know that this year, and with another 50,000 under my belt and in that word file, the story will be done. Might I die, this November 2006? Yeah, probably, but the story, THE SAGA, will be done, and I will die a happy person. Just wait for it. *g*
Special thanks to Mare and Vera for putting up with me the first year (November, 2004), to Maureen for November 2005 and who knows who'll deal with my craziness and the pain that can be Ryan in a coma/recuperating this 2006. *winks*
Now, after November of 2006 I wrote yet another 50'000 words and the ending is kind of in sight, but not quite there. I keep adding "missing scenes" to the story and it just keeps on growing and... it makes you want to kill yourself, that's for sure. *g*
Soon, it will be done. Soon. *nods*
September 11th, 2006:
Still working on the on uploading all the short stories. Give me... a month? *giggles* Over one hundred stories, people. It's not an easy thing, let me tell you.**
September 12th, 2006:
Uploaded all the drabbles. Now, it's just a matter of finishing with the short stories and "The way things are", the only wip left for me to upload. *sighs* I'm tired.**
September 26th, 2006:
New story, There but for the grace of God. One of the things I love about this story is that it talks about the maybes, about the what ifs. The choice is ours, of course, it always has been, and this story talks about the choice never made, and who it will most probably haunt us until we breathe no more. *nods* Love it.**
December 6th, 2006:
I should have remembered that not only do I have my livejournal, but I have this webpage as well. Sorry. Updated four new short stories: To the feel of skin, Endless, In the Shadow of Lone Gunmen and The Torment of Tantalus. I personally recommend Endless. I love it. I can't stop saying that, but that story totally owns me. I hope you like it. *g***
February 3rd, 2007:
Two new stories so far: Trying and The study of consolidation. Hope you like them.**
February 11th, 2007:
I have no idea why, but I'm making a few changes in the site. I'm adding images and color and just being weird. It's fun. *g* Oh, also, updated two chapters on Sullen. *nods***
March 5th, 2007:
Finally managed to get everything the way I wanted it. Added all old stories and changed the format of the main page of the stories for easier access, I think. Now, it's just a matter of updating the newer stories. That's way easier.

Now that I have everything the way I wanted it to be, I've updated In the light of her eyes and The end has only begun.
In the light of her eyes is a personal favorite of mine, written for my beloved Vera, to whom I owe actually writing this idea I've had since Theresa's baby was seen at the airport. And The end has only begun had to be written. It just had to. *nods*

March 20th, 2007:
This time around, I have a short story and a brand new series. *nods* Davis Hall, for those of you who are familiar with Berkeley, is the Civil Engineering Building. For me, Ryan is more a Civil Engineer than an Architect. *shrugs*
The new series is Shadowboxing. I have been working on it for a couple of months and it's finally finished. It's just a matter of it getting through the betas and being posted. I'm pretty sure you're love it. It's basic sdlucly's character torture. *winks***
April 8th, 2007:
Updated Shadowboxing. I hope you like the new chapter. *nods*. *winks***
April 14th, 2007:
Updated both Shadowboxing and Of Paper Hearts, which will soon be complete. I swear! *g* Let me know what you think. *winks***
August 4th, 2007:
Finally caught up with everything. I've finished Of Paper Hearts and updated Shadowboxing up to chapter eight. I hope you all enjoy it!**
